Staffordshire engineering company Chasepark Profiles (2000) Ltd is now under new ownership following a multi-million pound management buy-in supported by M3 Corporate Finance.
Chasepark currently employs about 50 people at its factory in Burntwood and has a broad range of clients, from niche, small companies to large multinationals including Caterpillar and JCB. M3 Corporate Finance assisted with negotiation of the deal, advised on deal structure, secured the necessary finance and project managed the deal to successful conclusion.
Peter Fairclough said: “I am seeking to acquire additional businesses in the UK and will certainly use the professional services of M3 again. They were outstanding and had the expertise, determination and the right connections in the finance world to make the deal work.”
M3 director Matthew Oliver said: “We are delighted to have worked with Peter and to have helped him buy this niche engineering business, and to secure the future of Chasepark following the owner’s retirement. Peter’s ideas for further business development and his expertise and energy will undoubtedly see the company build on its successful base”.

The directors of M3 have been sharing their finance knowledge and expertise with students at the University of Bath’s prestigious School of Management.
M3 co-sponsored the recent Claverton Entrepreneurship Project, which sees students on Bath’s world renowned MBA programme compete for the best business plan. M3 director Mark Crossfield sat on the panel of judges – which included academics, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists – and they chose as the winner a business concept for providing internet shoppers with an alternative to home delivery.
Mark has also been giving the school’s MBA students a finance advisor’s view of funding and acquisitions as part of the venture section of their course.
Neil Allan, Senior Lecturer in Strategy and coordinator of the Claverton project, said: “The support we receive from experienced practioners such as M3, who are both funding and mentoring companies through the early stages of growth, is invaluable in the education of budding entrepreneurs.”
Mark Crossfield said: “We are delighted to have been able to share our expertise with students at Bath’s School of Management and support the entrepreneurial element of its internationally respected MBA programme.”
